The Philipsburg Cultural & Community Center has long been an important space for performances, community gatherings, and public events. To support its continued use and ensure that the facility can meet current cultural and community needs, upgrades are required for its seating, flooring, technical systems, and supporting infrastructure.
The project will improve the Center's main hall, backstage areas and supporting infrastructure to enhance its function as an accessible and well-equipped cultural venue. Improvements will include seating, technical systems, accessibility, interior finishes, signage and other works needed to support performances, workshops, education and community activities.
Objectives
- Restore the Center as an active space for culture and community life.
- Improve the quality, safety, and accessibility of the facility.
- Provide better facilities for local performers, cultural groups, and community organizations.
- Support long-term use of the Center as part of St. Maarten's cultural infrastructure.
Project Allocation:—
