The Nine Future Roots Projects
Future Roots consists of nine connected projects. Eight are being implemented through Sint Maarten's Future Roots program. The Genealogical Research for Descendants project forms part of the overall Action Agenda but is being implemented by Saba as a regional initiative, with Sint Maarten's allocated contribution transferred directly to Saba by the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK). Together, they strengthen the way St. Maarten teaches its history, protects its heritage, develops local expertise and gives the public access to cultural knowledge.
